le mur des je t'aime

"the wall of i love you's". a wall covered in deep blue tiles with white "i love you's" written across it, in almost every language possible. it was so strange stumbling across this at a little square/park near abbesses with noah, because i'd seen it two years previously when i visited paris at the end of my student exchange. at the time of course, i didn't realise that i was in montmartre - so you can imagine my surprise at finding it here again, practically on my doorstep.

crazy coincidence to be back here - standing in exactly the same spot without realising. too weird! while noah was off making playground pals i tried to spot the languages & find the general ones. i managed to lay my eyes on i love you, je t'aime, ti voglio, ti amo, ich liebe dich & ik hou van jou... but that's about as much as i could recognise... however another wall-gazer pointed out the hungarian szeretlek to me.

i love that this wall is tucked away in a small green in montmartre. it's crossing paths unintentionally with things & places like this that make me love this city even more...
